Sandra specializes in providing comprehensive, financial management solutions for individuals, families, and businesses. She is passionate in her belief that if you have a financial plan, you have a greater chance of attaining your financial goals and seeing those goals become a reality.
With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sandra has earned many designations including Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA).  She is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) – a designation reserved for financial services professionals who have met the highest standards for advanced education, industry experience and ethical conduct.

With more than 20 years of specialized service in severance and retirement counseling, Sandra has assisted hundreds of employees and corporate executives through their retirement transition process.  Individuals that she have assisted with severance and retirement issues include retired employees of: BC Telephone, TELUS, Lafarge Cement, Eaton’s, Procter & Gamble and HSBC. 

Community and Personal interests

Sandra is married with two daughters and a family dog. She is a member of the Kelowna Ogopogo Rotary Club where she has served on the Board of Directors and acted as a host parent/family to over a dozen exchange students. Sandra has also spent some time passing on her financial expertise, working with Okanagan College as a part-time specialist and the University of British Columbia, where she assisted with curriculum design and review of a new course titled, “The Professional in the Workplace.”

Samantha heads the administrative functions for the team, including account set-up & transfers, issuing cheques, scheduling appointments, and responding to questions on account statements and transaction confirmations. Samantha has also recently become a licensed associate, which allows her to take trade orders. She is dedicated to providing the best ongoing client service and enjoys tackling new challenges. She is continually working to expand her knowledge and education within the industry. She has recently completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) course with the Canadian Securities Institute.

Community and Personal Interests

Samantha is fluent in English and French, and speaks conversational Spanish. Her knowledge of languages has been useful to her as she has travelled extensively, including spending a year in Argentina on a Rotary sponsored exchange.

Samantha has a wide array of volunteer experience. She has volunteered with various educational programs such as the UBC Learning Exchange program as well as the Child Literacy program. She also has extensive experience volunteering with emergency services, and is currently a volunteer with the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) team. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and family dog.

Our Designations

The CSC is a baseline regulatory requirement to perform securities and mutual fund transactions in financial services positions. The course focuses on helping develop a better understanding of the Canadian financial services landscape.

The FCSI designation is the highest honour and most senior credential in Canadian financial services. It is reserved solely for an elite group of experienced financial services professionals that meet the highest standards for advanced education, ethical conduct, industry experience and peer endorsement.

The CPH helps advisors have a clear and current understanding of the rules, regulations, practices and ethics of Canada's every-changing financial landscape.

Bachelor of Science (B.SC.) in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon).

The CFP designation is recognized internationally for excellence in financial planning. Those who hold it have achieved and maintain internationally recognized standards of knowledge, skills, abilities and ethics. The CFP designation provides assurance to Canadians that the design of their financial future rests with a qualified professional who will put the clients' interests ahead of their own.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Political Science from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver).

The CIM designation is a leading industry standard that is recognized by Canadian securities regulators. Those who hold it demonstrate proficiency and adherence in implementing advanced investment strategies and working with clients in a discretionary investment management capacity.
