I started in the Financial Services Industry in 2001 and in 2003 I became a Wealth Management Consultant with Wellington West Capital Inc. (now National Bank Financial). Business and Finance have long been a passion of mine and I am grateful that I get to work with clients who can benefit from my experience. I have an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and have successfully completed several industry exams including the Canadian Securities Course, the Professional Financial Planning Course and the FPSC Level 1 Exam. I also have a Certificate in Advanced Investment Advice and hold the title of Portfolio Manager (CIM).
Guiding our clients through the Wealth Management Process is a truly rewarding experience for me. I love to see the calmness and the sense of confidence that comes over our clients faces when they realize that we will take care of all aspects of their Wealth Management needs. As we work with our clients through the process we get to know them on a very personal level which is one of my greatest rewards.
In addition to my passion for our business and our clients, I have a great deal of interest in charitable giving and have been very involved in the Barrie community. My interest in charitable giving includes knowledge in advanced charitable giving strategies, which I have used to help clients further their own charitable intent as well. I am currently the Past-Chair of the Planned Giving Council of Simcoe County and a board member for the YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka currently in the role of Chair. I am also actively involved with Gilda's Club, on an advisory committee for the Season's Centre for Grieving Children and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Simcoe County.
I live in Barrie with my beautiful wife Julie and my wonderful children Avery and Henry. As a family we enjoy getting away on weekends to Muskoka and skiing the hills of Horseshoe.
