Eric brings a wealth of financial education and experience to our team. Eric was raised in Medicine Hat and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Calgary in 2001. He furthered his education by becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder in 2004. CFA is a globally recognized professional designation awarded by the CFA Institute, that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts.
Eric’s experience includes working for Scotia Capital in Toronto and New York, initially as a member of their global investment banking training program and, subsequently, as an institutional bond trader. He moved back to Calgary in 2004 to be a partner in a hedge fund called Savoy Capital before being recruited to join Canaccord Genuity where he worked for 11-years in progressively senior roles, culminating in his role as Managing Director & Global Co-Head, Institutional Energy Equity Sales.
Eric’s role within the team will be assisting Blaine with managing client portfolios and helping to deliver excellent customer service and returns for clients.
