At 15, when my dad handed me a hundred dollars for a six-day hockey trip, it felt like a small fortune. Sitting on the bus, though, reality set in—I had to make that money last. That trip turned out to be far more than just about hockey. It was my first real lesson in managing money, and it’s one I’ve carried with me ever since. Those early moments planted a seed that would grow into a passion for understanding how money shapes our lives.
Fast forward to university and I put those earlier lessons into action. Balancing part-time jobs and my studies taught me how to save, invest, and think ahead. I even became the go-to person among my friends for financial tips. Little did I realize, these small acts of sharing advice were laying the foundation for what would become my life’s work.
Today, as a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner), I get to guide families through some of the most significant transitions in their lives. I genuinely enjoy working with families from diverse backgrounds, and I have a particular passion for collaborating with dentists, physicians, and women who lead their families' financial decisions. Whether it’s planning for their first home, providing guidance towards a secure and fulfilling retirement, or assisting in saving for their children’s education, I find immense joy in crafting strategies that truly resonate. My work is deeply personal. It starts with listening—really listening—and asking meaningful questions. That’s my superpower. It helps me connect on a deeper level and create plans that reflect not just numbers, but lives, dreams, and values to feel more personal and meaningful.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about giving back. Serving on the investment committee at St. Thomas University is one of the ways I contribute to a community that has given me so much. Helping to steer decisions that safeguard the institution’s financial sustainability is a responsibility I take to heart.
On the home front, I’m lucky to share life in New Maryland, NB, with my amazing wife, Meaghan. I’m father to two incredible daughters, Mariama and Olivia, who bring boundless joy and perspective to my every day. They remind me of the importance of building a future worth dreaming about—not just for my own family but for every family I have the privilege of working with.
