Jon earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with a minor in business law from the University of Alberta in 2010. Jon also holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alberta with a focus on International Finance. He began his career as an Associate with CIBC Wood Gundy, where he gained a strong foundation in the investment industry. Jon is fascinated by the elements that make a business successful and enjoys educating our clients and helping navigate them through the financial markets.
Jon volunteers his time and resources towards initiatives he is particularly passionate about. He currently sits on the board of directors for Avalanche Canada, whose vision is to eliminate avalanche fatalities and injuries in Canada. As the national public avalanche safety organization, Jon oversees the investments and stewards the capital as the Investment Committee Chair.
Jon is a lover of movement. When he is not training for a marathon in the summer, he is likely to be found cross-country skiing around Edmonton and participating in the annual Canadian Birkie Ski Festival. Jon also shares a passion for travel and continues to enjoy experiencing new cultures and remote areas of the world.
