Allan currently manages in excess of $370 million in personal and corporate client assets. His commitment to exceed industry educational requirements and standards and his dedication to his clients is recognized in his designation as Senior Wealth Advisor. This in turn, recognizes his long and distinguished track record of building his business through consistent, conservative investment advice.

Allan has also been recognized by National Bank Financial (NBF) as being among the elite of the firm’s Wealth Advisors by his appointment to the President’s Club. Allan is dedicated to the process of individualizing his advice to each and every client and their unique and individual needs. In assessing a client’s current investment strategy and financial needs,he first establishes the client’s investment objectives, risk tolerance and investment time horizon.This ensures an investment strategy that fits the client’s profile.From there, he suggests an appropriate investment mix that will ensure that their objectives and goals are met. This may result in a traditionally tailored portfolio or a managed investment portfolio.

Many of Allan’s clients rely on Fixed Income to fund their retirement and they enjoy the benefits of his solid dividend yielding conservative portfolio strategies.

To complement the value he provides as your Senior Wealth Advisor, Allan has access to a large group of professionals within NBF and the community to assist with your legal, insurance and estate needs.


  • Worked on the construction of the Syncrude oil sands plant during summer holidays in 1976-1978.
  • Obtained Bachelor of Business Admin from Lakehead University
  • Worked with large multinational companies such as Bechtel Inc., Partek Lavalin, & Brown & Root- including an 8 year overseas post in Libya from 1981-1989.
  • Upon returning to Victoria in 1989 he owned his own company- Green Investments Inc., divested in 1998
  • Completed the Canadian Securities Course
  • Completed the Canadian Conduct and Practices Course
  • Joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1999 in the Sidney office through to June 2004

Graham has 18 years of experience and joined National Bank in 2008. He has worked with institutional and individual investors during his career. Most recently, Graham was responsible for client presentations on the Canadian economy for National Bank branches in western Canada.

Graham has the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, called the "gold standard" by The Economist. He has dedicated his career to helping individuals build and protect their wealth by focusing on their goals while reducing overall risk.

Graham's background give him the knowledge to control risk and vet new products. His investment process allows him to know his clients and build a portfolio that meets their specific objectives and constraints. He has a broad knowledge of asset classes and strategies and the skill to integrate taxation* in the investment policy. Finally, Graham has the ability to integrate multiple disciplines and work as a complement with other specialists including tax lawyers and accountants.

Debbie Wilson

Debbie has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 35 years and has been working with Allan for 19 years.  Debbie has her Canadian Securities license and is responsible for all of the financial and administrative services within our team and the day to day, client experience.

Once your account is up and running you can call Debbie with any financial related questions about your account such as transactions on your monthly statement that require clarification or adjustments to RRIF payments and timing.  Debbie will also assist you if you need cash transferred between accounts or have questions relating to dividends and income we might send on a monthly basis to your bank account, something which is common to many of our clients.

Don’t be surprised if you call Allan and Debbie answers. If Allan is on the phone or in meetings, Debbie will pick up your call to ensure that your questions are answered in a timely fashion. Debbie’s primary endeavor is to ensure that all clients enjoy exceptional client service and the highest level of confidence and confidentiality in the services provided to them with consistency and accuracy.

Maureen Hertz

Maureen has her Canadian Securities License and more than 25 years of financial industry experience, including 14 years with Allan. As your primary contact with our team for account opening and transfers, she will expertly care for all the details and she’ll make you feel completely at ease in the process.

Maureen will ensure your new accounts are set up correctly, all initial documentation requirements are met and monitoring of the transfer in process to ensure it is seamless and worry free.  Maureen will contact you to answer any questions you may have and verify that your move to our team has gone smoothly and that we are meeting your expectations.  You will hear from Maureen when it is time for your regular Portfolio Review with Allan, a process which we take very seriously.

If you have a need to see Allan between Portfolio reviews, call Maureen and she will arrange that for you.  Maureen is also your point of contact should you decide to open or transfer additional accounts to benefit from Allan’s management.  Maureen has a wonderful capacity for really getting to know our clients, forming strong, genuine connections that create a relationship of trust and caring that goes well beyond financial and administrative details. She remembers personal as well as portfolio details because she truly cares about both.
