Serge Paiement has been with National Bank Financial since 1986. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University (1984) and completed his professional training by taking the courses needed to be recognized as a Portfolio Manager in 2009. His main areas of advisory expertise are asset management and tax, financial and estate planning. Serge sees himself as a quarterback when it comes to managing client files. He acts as the primary financial advisor for a number of clients.

In addition to being an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, Serge was a Branch Manager for over 25 years. He was responsible for organizing semi-monthly meetings to develop different strategies to benefit clients. After a branch merger, Serge decided to step down as Manager and focus entirely on his clients.

His interest in taxation led him to set up a national committee in 2009 to create a new year-end report to help NBF clients with holding companies file their tax returns. The report has been available since the fall of 2012.

Serge is the father of three grown daughters and the proud grandfather of five. He was involved with Fondation Gemini as honorary chairman of the 2015 Omnium Maurice Dupont golf tournament. This organization helps disadvantaged families cover the costs of basic baby products. He was also the honorary co-chairman of the annual Fondation de l’autisme golf tournament. Serge is an avid wine, curling and golf enthusiast.
