Brenda's top core value being continuous learning has driven her to complete many courses throughout her career while she was raising her family. Some of these courses included the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practice Handbook, Wealth Management Techniques, Canadian Insurance Course and led her to obtain the Personal Financial Planning designation and Financial Management Advisor designation. In 2012, Brenda was appointed the title of Wealth Advisor with National Bank Financial.
Her continuous learning journey then pivoted and she started mentoring with Jack Canfield, Success Coach and author of the Success Principles and Co-Creator of the Chicken soup for the Soul book series to become a certified life coach. Brenda is the first Wealth Advisor in Canada to obtain this certification. The Success Principles has helped thousands of people worldwide get from "where they are" to "where they want to be" and this training continues to help her in her Wealth Management practice today when advising her clients.
An active member in the community, Brenda’s leadership was instrumental in bringing the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society’s High Volume, Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic to the community which is now saving thousands of animals lives by offering affordable Spay and Neuter services to everyone. Currently in her spare time you can find her out on the golf course, paddle boarding on a clear lake, spending time with friends and family and most importantly loving up her adorable grandsons.
Codi is an investment associate and has been working with Brenda Everts since 2010 after graduating from Lakehead University. During this time her continuing education journey lead her to become a fully licensed associate. This enhanced knowledge makes her a valuable asset both to the team and our clients. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct Practice Handbook exam and Wealth Management Essentials Course. She aspires to work as a Senior Investment Associate and obtain the Personal Financial Planning designation which would allow her more hands on interactions with clients.
When not at work Codi spends her free time with her husband Taylor, their 2 dogs and 3 cats and she enjoys being on the lake paddleboarding or out on the golf course with friends.
Bill is an associate advisor working with Brenda Everts to help clients reach their financial goals. Bill spent 7 years working in public accounting firm where he obtained a CPA, CA designation. Bill gained valuable accounting experience working his first few years in a national public accounting firm’s assurance group. He spent the following years working in the tax group and with the business valuations and advisory group, where he advised clients in various matters such as retirement planning, estate planning, tax reorganizations, remuneration planning, business valuations, and advising clients looking to sell or purchase businesses. Along with individual clients, Bill has extensive experience working with owner-managed businesses, investment holding companies, estates and family trusts.
Bill believes in continuing education and is constantly participating in courses to further his knowledge as part of his commitment to providing as much value as he can to clients. He is dedicated to his community and enjoys planning and participating in charity events. Bill is motivated by the success of his clients and the prosperity of the community in which he lives
