Mélina earned her bachelor’s in Civil Law at the University of Sherbrooke in 2011, subsequent to having earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and International relations from York University in Toronto in 2007. She pursued her studies to become a member of another Canadian bar association by studying for her Juris Doctorate and completing her master’s degree in Common Law in 2012 at the University of Sherbrooke. Passionate about accompanying clients in their estate planning process, she completed her diploma in Notarial Law at the University of Montréal in 2013 and was sworn into the Chamber of Notaries in 2014, subsequent to articling in private practice.
From 2014 to 2016, she worked as an Estate and Trust Advisor at RBC Wealth Management where she provided guidance and tailored solutions to meet clients’ estate, trust and philanthropic needs. From 2016 to 2021, she took on a role as Quebec Market Lead for Scotia Wealth Management’s Trust and Estate services. She subsequently moved into the role of Estate and Trust Planning Consultant where she provided high-level estate planning advice to clients with sophisticated needs.
