She has garnered many of her investment philosophies passed down from her parents and her maternal grandfather who were all financial advisors. She was recognized in 2014 by Wealth Management Professional as a “young gun” which is awarded to up-and-comers in the wealth management industry. Most recently, the team was awarded the 2020 Awards of Excellence for Team of the Year in BC.

Caroline has a passion for people and a passion for personal finances. She has worked with over 3 generations of families, always encouraging the next generation to take a keen interest in their financial lives.

Caroline graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree. She holds the designations of Portfolio Manager, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and lastly, she is certified as a Responsible Wealth Advisor (RIAC) which is Canada’s industry association for responsible investment.

Prior to having children Caroline was an avid volunteer in the community.  She now volunteers through her children’s activities.  Caroline has an active lifestyle with her husband and two sons.  You might find them on the local soccer fields, snowy mountains, or just in their backyard having fun.

“In my 25 years in this industry, I strive to work with clients as their Chief Financial Advisor, finding solutions to all clients’ financial challenges.”

I collaborate with clients to help understand their goals and what is important to them. Through a comprehensive wealth management process, I use portfolio and risk management in both the clients' investment and personal life to come up with a plan that will address all their needs.

Paul graduated from the University of British Columbia and holds a degree in Economics. He entered the financial industry in 1995 and formed the Shewfelt McMillan Group in 1997. He currently is a fully licensed Portfolio Manager, has his CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and FMA (Financial Management Advisor) designations.

“My goal is to make my clients’ investment lives simple!

I have shaped my practise around 3 E’s – Engagement - Education –  Expectations

The world of finance can be a murky and confusing place, especially if you are new to it.  I am here to de-mystify all of that for you.

I do that through:

Engaging with you to identify what your investment objectives should be through goal setting and planning.

Educating you to how investing works – including the importance of asset allocation and the types of investment solutions available to you.

Creating a positive experience as we travel the road together. There is nothing more rewarding than earning your trust and watching you attain your life goals.

I am truly interested in understanding the whole person. That way I can recommend what’s best for each and every individual. As always, our clients are welcome to come in, have a cup of coffee and chat. Client relationships are paramount to success.”

Lois is considered to be a pioneer of women in the investment industry.  She is a Portfolio Manager and holds the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation and the professional Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.  Lois is also certified as a Responsible Investment Advisor (RIAC) through the Responsible Investment Association of Canada and considers this in choosing investments within her practise.

After living in White Rock for over 30 years, Lois moved to Vancouver where she now enjoys all that the city has to offer.  Being a huge theatre fan Lois often travels to New York City to take in the Broadway shows.  If you are ever in need of a show recommendation, feel free to ask!  In her spare time, Lois volunteers as an Adoptions Counsellor with VOKRA – the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association.
