Senior Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Manager
Passionate about sports with a degree from McGill University in communications, I was planning a career as a sports journalist until I met the field of business and finance. So, I branched off and in the spring of 1987 I experienced an eventful period having started my career at Lévesque Beaubien and met my future wife in the same week !
In short, still in the same firm and married to the mother of our children, we can say that stability and consistency are two outstanding elements in my career and my personal life.
Over the years, I obtained the title of chartered financial analyst ( CFA ) in the portfolio management department of our firm, before becoming a wealth advisor and branch manager in Laval for 5 years.
As portfolio manager, we launched our own private Portfolio in 2003 to offer our clients the benefits of discretionary management with quality securities focused on long-term capital growth.
Avid reader, constantly on the lookout for new investment opportunities and marveling at the possibilities offered by new technologies, my expertise goes well beyond investments because, as a big fan of the Apple ecosystem, I am occasionally a reference on everything related to the products and services of this company, having even attended an annual shareholders meeting in California.
When I'm not busy scouting for investment opportunities, I golf, cycle and take long walks. Father of three sons, I was also actively involved as a football coach for several years.
In order to discover new horizons as a travel and sports lover, I combine the two annually to attend football and baseball games outside the province.
Great music enthousiast, I love listening to artist of all types and also practice the drums to relax and unwind. Finally, in order to learn a third language, I regularly watch a variety of Spanish films with subtitles.

I completed my bachelor's degree in business administration ( B.A.A. ) at HEC Montréal in 1992.
My experience in investing and consulting now goes back over 3 decades. The clients and I have been through many successful economic cycles.

I began my career at National Bank Financial ( formely Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion ) in 1996 as a sales secretary at Place Ville-Marie in downtown Montréal.
Given my personal interest in finance, I have successfully completed with honors the Canadian Securities ( CSC ) and conduct and pratice ( CPH ) courses.
The success of these courses provided me with the possibility to move forward in my career and became branch administrative assistant to many wealth advisors and sales assistants.
Then in 2004, I decided to expand my knowledge within the industry and build closer relationships with clients by providing the best ongoing client service so I joined the Gélinas - Bossé Team in Laval as a wealth associate.
In 2017, I was selected fot the National Bank Financial - Wealth Management Élite club recipients for my professionalism and outstanding work ethic.
Mother of two wonderful young adults Éloise and Sandrine, people remain at the heart of my priorities and it is always in this interest that I make all my decisions.
I am a great athlete who loves running. Besides this great passion, I practice hiking, alpine and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, yoga and meditation.
Vegetarian, the culinary art also fascinates me enormously and allows me a great creativity and a beautiful sharing with people.
Sylvie Bélanger

I began my career in 1985 with a discount brokerage firm and for 13 years I held various positions until culminating as a manager of a new branch in Laval.
Subsequently, I took a career break in order to prioritize my family life while making the time to volunteer at the schools our three sons attented. They are now adults and we are are very proud, my husband and I, who I have met 35 years ago.
In 2015, I joined the Gélinas-Bossé Team in an innovative role which includes elaborating business development strategies to optimize our brand image. Among other things, I take care of communications, customer experiences, events, internet site management and social media.
In my spare time, I practice running, golfing, cycling, yoga and I love to paddle board in calm waters. I appreciate the benefits of instrumental music and the melodies of acoustic and spanish guitars.
Very early on, I had the passion for the exploration of new horizons, the wonder of the landscapes and the discovery of new cultures. Epicurean, refined and always ready to go on an adventure, I have a weakness for cruises, picturesque villages, art and good wine.
When my suitcases are packed, a Persian feline with sweet green eyes embellishes my life.

With over 10 years of experience in customer service and as a
bachelor’s degree graduate in business administration in Toulouse,
France, I became interested in the field of finance in the banking
sector as a customer service representative and subsequently as a
banking advisor.
Since then, I specialized myself in the securities industry mainly
towards high-end customer service. I particularly enjoy interacting
with customers and problem solving.
My family values of sharing and generosity as well as the arrival of my little boy consolidated my skills by combining empathy and my commitment to our clients.
