Genevieve has more than 12 years of experience as a lawyer. She holds a Civil Law degree (LL.B.) (2008) and Common law and transnational diploma (J.D.) (2010). She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and Barreau du Québec.

Prior to joining National Bank as a Senior Advisor, Estate Planning, Genevieve was in private practice primarily in the area of Wills and Estates Law and Family Law. Her clientele included professionals, entrepreneurs, young families and blended families.

Genevieve is passionate about estate planning and aims to offer clients professional and valuable services. She is fully bilingual (French and English)

She provides wealth management solutions and financial strategies in the areas of retirement planning, tax planning, cash management, estate and gift planning, and insurance planning. As a planner, Marie-Claude has worked in a variety of financial institutions: niche-market financial institutions (educators and physicians), bank-owned wealth management divisions and a small financial planning firm dealing with high-net-worth clients. Marie-Claude obtained her Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Ottawa and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Financial Planner (RFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations.
