In The Community

We are committed to reaching out and making an impact in our community, it's part of our core mission.

That's why we are each involved in many different community programs and groups to create positive change. Catch us at local events like the Sidney Fine Art Show or Victoria Hospice's Fashion For Compassion.

The self-guided tour showcases a variety of gardens ranging from the truly teeny tiny to larger gardens too good not to be shared. Tour goers will enjoy everything from creative use of containers, to water features, edible gardens, and terraced gardens with meandering trails laden with eclectic surprises around every corner! Each garden offers its own unique delight. 100% of the funds raised go to support Victoria Hospice's end-of-life care programs.

Viola sponsored the Teeny Tiny Garden Tour for the past five years.

100 Women Who Care

It's a simple concept. Four times a year, 100 women get together for one hour, donating $100 each, generating $100,000 to be divided between three local charities. These charities are selected at random at each event from all charities nominated by the members.

Peninsula Singers

The Peninsula Singers started in 1980 when a handful of singers got together just for the "joy of singing". Six years later, they gave their first concert in the Legion Hall on Mills Road in North Saanich B.C. Since then, the Peninsula Singers have grown from a small community choir to a 65-member, mixed voice show chorus.

The Union Club of BC

Union Club of BC

The Club offers premier service, amenities, companionship, and exceptional comfort. And because of those virtues, the Club has consistently attracted a diverse and impressive membership – the type of community movers and shakers who have been at the heart of the business, political, and cultural life of Victoria from its early colonial beginnings.

Viola has been a general committee board member for several years, serving in many aspects from event planning to finance.
