After eight years of experience in the world of capital markets in institutional sales, Daniel became a founding partner of Goepel Shields/Raymond James Securities Ltd in 1989 and ran the Quebec operations for twelve years. In 2008, Daniel then obtained the Portfolio Manager designation. Daniel provides services to high net worth clients at National Bank Financial since 2002.

He is a graduate from the Faculty of Management of McGill University, the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal, as well as a member of the Quebec Bar. He also holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland and the title of Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) since 2008.President of the McGill Management Class of 1976, Daniel also sits on various advising boards such as McGill’s faculty of Music, the “Concours de musique international de Montréal“ and Bishop’s College School. He also organizes an annual fund-raising event for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Association. He is also Chairman of the Board of the committee of management of the Mount Royal Club.
