Greg Klassen is not your typical investment advisor. He takes a personalized hands-on approach to your investments leveraging his greatest strength – tailored asset selection. This means that Greg works carefully to understand your needs, goals and risk tolerances in order to create a customized plan to best fit your specific set of objectives.
Greg got his start in the financial services industry after graduating from Red River College with a degree in Business Administration. During his tenure in the industry working at a major bank, Greg was exposed to all facets of the field, but found that he most enjoyed working with and helping families and individuals. Thus he made a transition into the role of Investment Advisor at Wellington West Capital in 1994.
Greg chose to work at Wellington West because it was an independent Winnipeg-based company and he truly believed in its founder, Charlie Spiring. In 2011, the partners of Wellington West sold to National Bank Financial. As part of National Bank, Greg believes that they have maintained their independent feel, but with an increased selection of investment choices for his clients.
Greg truly enjoys the asset selection process after a client’s objectives have been determined. It takes a strategic mind to be able to select a tailored asset mix to fit the needs and goals of a client, but this strategy is the area in which Greg excels. He considers himself an old school ‘stock picker’ and is constantly researching the markets and learning about new investments that will present good value opportunities for his clients.
Now a Senior Investment Advisor, Greg is highly respected by his peers and holds a strong reputation with his clients. You may recognize him as the voice of financial expertise providing investments advice to listeners of CJOB radio. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his three girls, golfing and watching football. Everyone who knows Greg knows that he is a huge Green Bay Packers fan.
