The Best and Worst Countries for Work-Life Balance
In the Global Life-Work Balance Index from 2025, Canada ranked 7th out of 60 countries. Canada scored well due to reasonable working hours, parental leave benefits, safety and overall quality of life. The OECD Better Life Index gives each of the countries a score between zero (not good) to 10 (great).
What's Next for Canada
Recent trade tensions with the U.S. is making Canada rethink it's economic strategy and invest more heavily in its own long-term growth. There will be opportunities in infrastructure, energy, critical minerals, manufacturing and technology projects across the country and this could strengthen Canada's competiveness and attract global investment.
